Principal

James P. Cramer is a co-founder and principal in K2 Group. The Company is a commercial real estate development and advisory firm which concentrates on the development of relatively smaller upscale retail centers (lifestyle centers) situated in affluent yet underserved urban neighborhoods. For its own account and on behalf of institutional clients, the Company also specializes in the placement of debt and equity. Further, K2 Group offers consulting services to commercial real estate companies that range from the structuring of complex lease or debts transactions to more traditional management / finance guidance. Focused primarily on commercial real estate portfolios throughout the US and Canada, the firm offers a highly specialized financial discipline in support of the investments under its management.

In terms of development activity, K2 Group is currently focusing its efforts on an upscale lifestyle retail center of approximately 105,000-SF in the Dublin, Ohio market. The project will be completed and open spring 2006. Consulting engagements are ongoing with both national and local organizations and, further, K2 Group is in discussions with both equity and debt sources for both its own projects as well as certain client requirements.

Jim's career has included ten years as EVP & Treasurer with The Pizzuti Companies; as well as several years with Deloitte & Touche. Leveraging his extensive background in public accounting and industry, Jim helped the Pizzuti Companies to implement the technology, processes, reporting and modeling capabilities required to support the growth of the business from $50 million to over $600 million. Jim was instrumental in Pizzuti’s initial venture with an institutional capital provider; ensuring that asset-specific modeling, portfolio roll-ups and venture-level reporting consistently exceeded requirements. Jim’s modeling and reporting expertise extends beyond operating properties to commercial land development. Understanding senior management’s high-level requirements for condensed information presented so as to facilitate critical decisions has been key to Jim’s high level of achievement during his career as a financial executive in commercial real estate.

A CPA and graduate of Otterbein College, Jim’s affiliations include the AICPA, the OSCPA and the Advisory Board of Otterbein’s MBA Program.
